Found Glass Assemblage Stain Glass Workshop
Learn to take depression glass, vintage crystal, found objects and assorted glass fragments and create a funky stain glass window. The first thing we will do is lay out glass pieces to create nice connecting lines and shapes. The pieces edges will be sanded and shaped with a grinder if needed. Then we will wrap them in copper foil once they are foiled we will solder them together.
This class is a really fun way to learn the skills of stain glass without all the focus on the pieces fitting perfectly. In this method if something isn't fitting exactly right, you just add another chunk so all the edges are secure. This is a easy no stress method.
During the class you will create a small piece that can be hung in front of a window or framed. The best way to display it will be so light can pass through it.
This is a great starter project. Once you learn the basics you will be able to add to it any time and make it as big as you want. You can arrange for additional studio days later if you would like.
Lunch will be provided.
