Event DescriptionThese unprecedented times have changed many things. At the High, we want to bring you a moment of respite and fun in our galleries. For HIGH Frequency Friday in December and January, we are partnering with the Sound Table to bring you a soundtrack to enhance your art experience on the first Friday of each month.Taking inspiration from the Julie Mehretu exhibition, DJs will create layered soundscapes in three different spaces of the Museum. This pop-up night curated by the Sound Table's Karl Injex features DJs Source One, Florista, Divine Interface, Thrice Groove, and Champagne Trap. This night is not to be missed! The High is also pleased to screen The Baptism, written by poet and artist Carl Hancock Rux and directed by artist Carrie Mae Weems, which pays homage to the monumental impact of John Lewis and C. T. Vivian--two towering figures in American history. Commissioned by Lincoln Center, this eleven-minute abstract film will be screened throughout the evening. This short commission will be screened on a loop throughout the evening. This is not your typical HIGH Frequency Friday.
